Should finish first editing pass of current writing project today. ✍️

I’m a lot happier with it than I expected to be, given that it’s essentially a Denouement side story.

I made a couple of characters that I really like 👍

To be clear, everything I do still looks like a child did it but at least the child is getting better ❤️‍🩹

Okay, so I’ve been practicing art. And I think I’ve seen a minor increase in skill. It’s not much but it’s nice to feel like I’m progressing.

I am sad that my daughter is leaving for university next week. I am glad she is, because it’s a good thing to do. But, I’m going to be alone a lot more.

Canva license at work up for renewal, it’s got expensive. Work may be considering adobe express. I vote stay with Canva

I saw that @moonpope said that “religion is really hard to put into words”.

That’s stuck in my head and I’ve been noodling on it for a while. I think, it’s because people who “get it” don’t need you to explain it, and people who don’t, well, they will ask, then tell you to stop preaching at them (usually with an accompanying eye roll) when they realise you have an actual answer.

Basically, we don’t get chance to actually articulate it. So, we never think about it.

Anyway. Should be done in about two weeks. I think. 🤔

I am on the last chapter of first pass editing my current project. Needs a second pass and the first chapter may need a restructuring for world building reasons.

I also this I need to make one of my characters dialogue saltier. And I also need to make one character less likeable, oddly.

Had a nice time drawing again. Today it was getting comfy with art studio pro. The actual art wasn’t very good but I learned a lot about the software.

Honestly. I loathe that procreate is so much better for some things when it is so bad at so many things. Still getting good enough for it to matter is a thing, but I really like tools. I need to enjoy my tool and at the moment art studio pro is best for me.

Tomorrow I’m going to start a theme project. I’m thinking bees. 🐝 I enjoyed ducks but this coming week feels like a bee week.
