Managed a decent walk for the dog. Tide was nice and far out. 🌊

Awwwe maaaan. Gone to church today. Weather is so bad and rainy that I’m a little concerned I won’t be able to get back into my village because of flooding.

Speaking of writing. My next project will be passed to wing quite soon for a proper good eyeballing 👁️👁️

But it’s not far off now. I have two sections to read though. I think I’ve tightened up all the scenes I wasn’t happy with.

Think I’m going to write a post to sum the motivations behind up my recent dive into visual art. 🖼️

To be clear. I love writing. Never stopping but adding more creative skills makes brain feel good.

Maybe I don’t need a website post after all, lol 🤣

Had a good day. Went shopping, listened to some lectures of YouTube and watched a video about the pope saying some sillies. I wrote some stuff, drew some stuff, posted some stuff on website, and it’s still only half six. What a power house of productivity I am.

Been thinking a lot about minimalism, productivity and utilitarianism recently. Here’s some nuggets I’ve dug up.

  • portability is a function and it stokes creativity by removing barriers
  • it really is okay to love your tools. (Not a euphemism)
  • interoperability in technology removes barriers, you only notice the barriers when the interoperability breaks
  • it’s okay to be bad at things. Talent is a myth. It’s the end point of hard work in the guise of competency
  • if a pastime isn’t working toward an outcome, or building a skill, don’t do it.
  • time is the only non-renewable resource. Respect that fact. No really, respect it.

Feel like I should specify, dog's tail is like 60% hair and no actual tail entered the very hot water

Just found out that hex and pals are watching Escape from LA tonight. Love that movie. Actually more than the first one, if I’m honest

Spent last night working on my second one page, but still awesome, comic. I hope that it’s better than the last one the skills I’m learning here are, I hope, taking me closer to my two stage end goal.

Goal 1: I have had a story in my head for years which has the working title “orb” it’s visual. And wouldn’t make an engaging novel but would make a kick arse comic. I want to make it one day

Goal 2: I would love to have the skills to make my own, actually good, Denouement comic.

Getting my winter vaccine(s) today. Did consider skipping them but on balance decided it was the sensible thing to do.
